We were excited to be treated to a lunchtime tour of the Cuero Amherst Residential modular home manufacturing facility today, along with other City of Cuero council and staff members! Dave Stone, Cuero Amherst Head of Factory Development showed us operations at the plant, including the construction of a 2,000-sq.ft. home (pictured).
This facility is creating 168 new manufacturing jobs in Cuero. Amherst has several locations around the country, but the new Cuero Studio Build modular housing factory will be the pilot facility for the program in Texas. It will manufacture four models of modular homes that will ship solely within Texas, with the primary markets in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, and smaller, secondary markets planned for the future.
